NEUROAFFIRMING INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY & EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING COACHING

For children, teens, and adults, psychotherapy sessions at RiverBe offer evidence-based, compassionate support for understanding yourself and your patterns: why you think, feel, and act the way you do. Together, we’ll explore strategies for managing anxiety, improving mood and sleep, regulating emotions, improving relationships, and building on what already works for you. Executive functioning coaching (which can be incorporated into psychotherapy) focuses on practical skills—organization, time management, and motivation—helping clients move from overwhelmed to empowered in their daily lives.

COLLABORATIVE ASSESSMENT

RiverBe offers psychological assessment and consultation services to help clarify autistic or ADHD presentations in children, teens, and adults. Each assessment integrates evidence-based tools and clinical expertise with a level of care and customization that recognizes and celebrates neurodiversity. The goal is not simply to arrive at a diagnosis (if warranted), but to foster deeper understanding, empowerment, and guide next steps for support.

How It Works

YOUR FIRST SESSION (CALLED AN INTAKE APPOINTMENT) IS A CHANCE TO SHARE WHAT BRINGS YOU HERE AND WHAT YOU HOPE TO GAIN FROM PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES. WE’LL DISCUSS YOUR GOALS, NEEDS, AND QUESTIONS SO YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE, INFORMED, AND SUPPORTED FROM THE START.

FOR ADULTS & OLDER TEENS

This initial session focuses on understanding your story and clarifying priorities for our work together.

FOR CHILDREN & YOUNGER TEENS

The first appointment is typically attended by their with parent(s) or caregiver(s). We’ll talk through your child’s strengths, challenges, and goals, then schedule follow-up sessions for your child or teen to begin building comfort and connection through conversation and engaging, age-appropriate activities.
